Welldry Container Desiccant
What is Welldry container desiccant?
Welldry is a high performance clay based desiccant capable of absorbing more than 70% of moisture relative to its weight (90% RH & 37ºC). This highly absorbent clay is activated by Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) to ensure this superior performance. The innovative design allows water vapor to enter the interior of the bag easily, where it is transformed into a mud like substance and will not leak, escape or spill. Welldry is specially formulated for use in shipping containers or storage.

What causes condensation in your container?
- Significant temperature variations - i.e. crossing the equator and day-night temperature fluctuations.
- When container temperature rises, air expands and absorbs free moisture molecules from all possible sources i.e. container floor, wooden pallets, and wooden dunnage.
- When the container temperature drops, the air contracts and deposits the heavier water molecules, known as condensation.
- This process of warming and cooling can repeat itself several times during a voyage which causes this damaging condensation cycle

How does the Welldry container desiccant prevent condensation?
Manufactured and packed under controlled conditions, we ensure you are
ready to use a high quality dry desiccant.
On removing the desiccant from its protective packaging and placing it
in your container, it will immediately start absorbing free moisture
from the air inside your container. The relative humidity is reduced,
therefore preventing the condensation cycle.
All Welldry container desiccant is packed in Dupont’s Tyvek.
The 100gm and 500gm are a 3 side heat sealed bag.
The 1kg and 2kg bags are made with 2 layers for extra strength and guarantee no leakage. The inner bag is made from Tyvek and the outer is a sewn PET non-woven bag.
Both the 1kg and 2kg bags come with a sewn in strong plastic hook, so it can be easily hung in side your container.

Welldry conforms to the following standards AS2400, BS7529, DIN55473
